ReadTheory

ReadTheory

We require children to read on their ReadTheory account three evenings a week, completing 2 or 3 quizzes (texts + questions) each time.    In order to help you support your child with this, we have included some information below.

What is ReadTheory?

ReadTheory is a powerful educational tool that offers online reading activities for all ages and ability levels. The children will read a text and then answer a range of comprehension questions on it. The quizzes span the full range of reading levels, beginning with primary school reading and ending with the most demanding level of passages. The website adapts to students’ individual ability levels and presents them with skills building exercises that suit their needs.

How can Read Theory improve my child’s English language?

Read Theory fosters a dynamic classroom environment and allows teachers to analyse pupil’s skill sets and provide more individualised instruction. Teachers can track student progress using statistics, graphs, and charts and, with students earning points and achievement badges, we find that they also love tracking their progress!

How do children log in?

Logging in to ReadTheory is very simple. It is accessed by logging in to www.readtheory.org on any device.  Children in Y3-6 have been given their username and password.
