Rights Respecting Schools

We are a gold accredited Rights Respecting School. This is part of UNICEF’s work to ensure:

• Children are healthier and happier

• Children feel safe

• Children have better relationships

• Children become active and involved in school life and the wider world

The Sustainable Development Goals, developed by the UN, are a collection of 17 objectives. The aim of these is to bring about peace, prosperity and balance across the world, both now and in future generations. At Whitehall, we build learning around these goals to spark discussion regarding economic, social and environmental needs across the globe.

The UNCRC articles provide our school community with an understanding of how we can challenge, change and support global issues. We endeavour to help pupils become rights-bearers, both in our community and globally, through pupil voice, campaigns and charity work.
