STEM Week - 'Innovating for the future'
STEM Week at Whitehall was a huge success and a great second week back for all! Innovating for the future - the overall theme of STEM Week had our pupils thinking critically and full of wonder about the way we live in today's world.
Over the course of the week, we focused on three sub themes: steps to sustainability, not so fantastic plastic and space tourists. The children were encouraged to explore and design new ways of tackling real life issues such as plastic pollution in the ocean, sustainable energy sources and designing equipment for use in space.
When presenting the work produced in school and at home, it has come to light that we have many aspiring inventors, engineers and eco-warriors among us!
